That was the first time I faced a shark in the water while my friends were spearfishing and even though my life was never in real danger, I think I remained pretty calm. At least I didn’t push my buddy in front of the shark

Protecting at least 30% of our blue planet for a healthy ocean and climate
With your help and that of hundreds of other organizations worldwide, we will support and grow the global movement to protect at least 30% of our blue planet by 2030 (“30x30”). A healthy ocean is a critical part of the solution to the climate crisis. By supporting 30x30, we can protect our planet’s life support systems – specifically the interconnected issues of ocean, climate, and biodiversity.
Decisions about the future of our blue planet are being made this year by world leaders, and they need to hear from you! The actions that our leaders take (or fail to take) this year will determine the health of our blue planet and security of future generations for decades to come.
Together We Can!
Leading scientists worldwide have determined that we need to protect at least 30% of our blue planet by 2030. World Ocean Day joins with many organizations on this important initiative. By signing the petition you are telling world leaders that you want action too! Working together we can protect our blue planet home for all!

Let's Talk About the Conspirasea
It’s important to be critical of whatever information we consume, and @seaspiracy is no exception. This rundown of the problematic aspects of the documentary by @browngirl_green is really great, have a read through and share your thoughts!
The bottom line is, fearmongering may not help, but systematic change and continuous activism definitely will.

You cannot seek to tame her. She will not be forced into a watered-down version of herself to satisfy the ideals of a weak man. She needs room to roam and the freedom to be who she is. If she feels too constricted, she will rebel against it. She is not docile or submissive and doesn’t need to be doted upon. If she feels she isn’t seen as an equal, she won’t hesitate to break away.
Read MoreSeaspiracy?
A lot of people have talked to me about the new Netflix documentary ''Seaspiracy''. Although I'm glad it gets more people caring and talking about the oceans and what we can do to help, I also don't think eliminating fish from our diets is the solution.
I believe that being all ''doom and gloom'' and guilting people into doing something is not the way to inspire change in behaviors. I believe that a little hope, realistic advice and encouraging people to explore, learn about and protect our oceans is a more effective way to go about it.
