Our 2024 Costa Rica adventure was an unforgettable experience filled with romance, thrill, and natural beauty. CJ and I celebrated Valentine’s Day and our anniversary in this tropical paradise, making memories that will last a lifetime.
One of the highlights of our trip was diving with hundreds of spinner dolphins. Swimming alongside these graceful creatures was mesmerizing, their playful spins and jumps adding a touch of magic to our underwater adventure.
The guys had an exciting time spearfishing and managed to shoot some impressive yellowfin tuna. Meanwhile, I had my own proud moment when I caught a golden trevally for the first time. The thrill of the catch and the beauty of the fish made it a moment to remember.
Our days were not just about the ocean; we also ventured into the lush Costa Rican jungle. Exploring the dense foliage, encountering exotic wildlife, and absorbing the sounds of nature was a truly enriching experience. Each day ended with us watching the stunning sunsets, painting the sky with hues of orange, pink, and purple—a perfect close to our adventurous days.
This trip was a perfect blend of excitement, relaxation, and romance. Costa Rica’s natural beauty and diverse experiences made it an ideal destination for celebrating love and life.
Video from the first day I went diving and jumped in the water with hundreds of spinner dolphins! Moments like this make me fall in love with the ocean even more.
Our friend had a drone and was able to capture this incredible footage of whales swimming not too far from the boat.
The moment where a spinner dolphin leaped out of the water to give us a show!
One of my favorite moments where the dolphins were just bow riding in the blue water.
Golden trevally are considered one of the best members of the trevally family for eating, with bleeding recommended. The fish has slightly translucent, dark-pink flesh while fresh, becoming white and juicy during cooking, although has a tendency to become dry, flaky, and fibrous.
10/10 would recommend!
